Introducing the new S80 series of AVA smart quarter-turn electric actuator. The new smart actuator from AVA is a compact actuator offering 80Nm torque output, with an IP67 PC+PET plastic housing, manual override via mechanical device and local control from touch button, OLED 1.3” colour screen with actuator status display, input and output and fault display. 

The AVA S80 can be upgraded to a Failsafe function using an internal Capacitor Failsafe system. This is an internal capacitor can achieve Failsafe Open or Failsafe Closed on loss of power. We can also offer Hi-Speed series for quick actuation time of 0-90 degrees in around 5 seconds. 

Offering ISO5211 direct mount capability with F05/07 x 17mm mounting, the S80 series offers a number of function but as standard can offer speed control, local control, position adjustment, 3 position setting for 0-90-180 degree operation and more. 

In addition, it offers On/Off function, Modulating, Failsafe, Modulating Failsafe, Hi Speed, BUS Communication and Timer options. Now available in EXD series for hazardous use also. 

* Please note that if you have previously purchased a 60 Series actuator (B60 or S60) this has now been replaced by our 80 Series following the launch of our new 50Nm actuator series. The 80 Series is a direct replacement, like for like just with more torque output. 

Product options

Failsafe functionality via internal super capacitor. Actuator will charge the capacitor using incoming power supply, actuator will then operate as usual power open and power close. On power loss actuator fail to open or closed position via the capacitor. Please ensure that the actuator receives sufficient charge (recommended initial charge time of around 1 minute). 

Selectable input via menu system, 4-20ma, 0-20ma, 0-10v, 2-10v, 0-5v options. 

Available with Hi Speed option to allow quick working time. This will reduce the torque output but offers as fast as 1 second working time 0-90 degrees. Note 1 second verison only possible in 20Nm actuator series. For series 50-80-110 then Hi Speed option delivers open to close in around 5-6 seconds. 

This actuator is available with a number of BUS communication options, including MODBUS RS485 AND CANBUS. 

This unique feature allows the OLED screen and menu system to be used to configure a 7-day timer schedule for the actuator to operate. The user can set how often the actuator open and closes and for how long. 

LED Status light to show current status of the actuator. Green shows Open, Red shows Closed and Blue shows Alarm/ Alert. 

Multi Turn function for maximum 20 turns, designed for non rising stem valves including diaphragm valves, gate valves and knife gate valves.
