Series 50

Compact Smart 50Nm Electric Actuator

The low voltage AV actuator accepts 24V AC or DC, the high voltage version accepts 95-250V AC. AVA-20 actuators are supplied pre-wired with a  multi-core cable.

Taking full advantage of the magnetic position sensing technology, the Series 50 electric actuator is driven to a position proportional to an input control signal. Control signals can be 0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-5V, 1-5V, 0-10V, 2-10V. The AV actuator stays put on loss of external power.

Using the external push buttons in combination with the bright OLED screen, users can pre-set on which day and at which time a Series 50 electric actuator opens, and closes. This eliminates the additional cost of installing timers in systems controlling AV electric actuators.

Opportunities and applications are increasing constantly for wirelessly operated electric actuators as customers see the reduced installation cost as control wiring is eliminated. The standard production AVA Smart wireless actuator, which includes an option of a 1.5km wireless range, enables customers to take full advantage of this fast growing market.

For bus communication systems that facilitate computer control of many actuators connected over a 2 wire system, Series 50 Smart actuator is available with either Modbus protocol over RS485, or Canbus 2.

Failsafe functionality via internal super capacitor. Actuator will charge the capacitor using incoming power supply, actuator will then operate as usual via power open power close. On power loss actuator fail to open or closed position via the capacitor. Please ensure that the actuator receives sufficient charge (recommended initial charge time of around 2-3 minutes). 

New for 2021 is our LED status light, Green for Open, Red for closed and Blue for Alert such as valve jam. Coming to Series 20 and 80-110 models Q2 2021.

Multi Turn function for maximum 15 turns, designed for non rising stem valves including diaphragm valves, gate valves and knife gate valves.
